Raspberry Pi - Flush DNS Cache
#1
Hi,

Can somebody please advise....

How can I flush the DNS cache in XBMC Gotham 13.1 running on an R-Pi without restarting the device?

Many thanks in advance!

Difficult to say without knowing which operating system you're running - OpenELEC, Raspbmc, Raspbian, Xbian?

OpenELEC, for instance, uses connman which functions as a DNS proxy and doesn't cache anything.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

Hi Milhouse,

Thank you for your answer, it is indeed Openelec I am using. If it really caches "nothing" and performs a fresh DNS lookup for each request that will be perfect.
