HI, I have been using openelec for awhile now, but my set up is getting a little buggy of late, I am now looking at doing a fresh install. My question is can I install XBMC from usb on my acer revo and have it boot direct to XBMC without the need for windows being installed on my system.

Well you need an operating system, be it Linux, windows, whatever.
