NCIS error is often caused by a virus or malware or badly installed software. For possible solutions (one of which was accidentally setting read-only permission on the Windows TEMP folder), see

Do a virus scan on your system. Then run Malwarebytes. Hopefully these will find the culprit.

But I manually scanned with antivirus and have system mechanic on laptop and I've already cleaned off all antivirus.. Could it be the specs of my processor? It's a pentium dual core CPU T4500 @2.3 GHz with 4gb memory

Did you look at all the comments on the web page I pointed you to, e.g.

Leave the nsis error installer message open, don't close it.

open windows task manager(CTRL+ALT+DEL) you will see nsis error "running" on that task tab on task manager.

Right click on nsis error and then click "Go To Process" (This should take you to the process tab). This will indicate what program is giving you the problem as it will be running.

In my case is was dropbox (updating issue). however if you don't recognize the program in the process tab then once again right click on the suspected program and click on "Open File Location". This will take you to the physical file that's causing the program. You should then get a better understanding on what program it could be and in my case because i already knew it was dropbox, i did not have to do this as all i did was re-install dropbox and it fixed the problem
.

Also see http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Why_do_I_get_NSIS_Error

Since thousands of people download the file every day it is unlikely that the file itself is corrupt.

Try the following

1. Ensure you are logged in with an administration account.

2. Create a folder called Temp at the top-level e.g.
C:\Users\John\Temp

3, Download the installation file for XBMC and copy this file into the new Temp directory

4. Execute the copy of the installation file in the Temp directory.

(Instructions found here http://blog.fuelip.com/?p=157)

Some people have found that copying the installation file to a USB memory stick and executing it from there works too.
