Found a bug!
[TLS FTP] [RAR 720p / 1080p MKV] [WINDOWS 8 Server 2012] (same issue).
Tried the following on all devices + multiple movies inside RAR archives:
xbmc-14.0-Helix_alpha2.exe - stopped playing after first RAR
xbmc-13.2-Gotham.exe - stopped playing after first RAR

Changed Curl Client timeout from 45 -> 90 -> 500, it works for initially loading the movie, the first RAR loads fine (.RAR).
After that when XBMC reconnects to load the second part of any movie r00 (around 1min 40 seconds) the curl timeout is set back to 28, this makes it fail on the next part of the movie.
Also to note, XBMC recursively looks through the directories which I have not click on and makes attempts to login with the incorrect credentials:
ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.*****:****/movies/movie1-dir/subs/
This may be a Subtitle setting I need to switch off either way, incorrect credentials.
Following this, it looks for CD1?? Same incorrect credentials.
ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.*****:****/movies/movie1-dir/cd1/
