Hello,

I have a problem with the flash player i think. I don't know how to figger out the exact problem, but let me explain.

When i watch livestreams thrue xbmc, lot of times it doesn't load, instead, i get a black screen with a little cross in the middle.
I use xbmcbuntu gotham.

How can i install a player that can play all of the streams?

xbmc has absolutely nothing to do with a flashplayer. Everything we decode is done with ffmpeg.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Ohw, ok, do you have any idea what could be the problem? Or how do I get a crashreport or something to show more technical details of what happens.

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=276361
Your XBMC crashlog: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=276362

I hope this can help to fix the problem!

If you trying to play some live stream via MashUp...

Quote:15:26:45 T:140112624379840 DEBUG: ADDON: cpluff: 'Plug-in repository.mash2k3 has been installed.'

...so please read this:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=149712

And I presume the hardware isn´t the best way to go:

Quote:15:27:25 T:140615768758208 NOTICE: GL_RENDERER = GeForce 6150 LE/integrated/SSE2

But I might be wrong.

Is there a way I could update my system thrue xbmc itself?
(sorry for my lack of knowledge)

sorry for asking about the mashup add-on... I'm still finding my way in the maze of diffrent boards, websites, and possibilitys...

and about the hardware, you're right about that! It's not the newest availeble, must be at least 10 years old! But not in a possition to buy a better system

I think I'm blind... I can't find it...

When I click in the contents menu on " 3.10 How do I upgrade XBMC? " The author of that page starts to write about ppa... that after adding or removing ppa... I don't know ppa, or what it is, why i need to add or remove it.

is it possible to upgrade xbmc for noobs within the program?

(the wiki i got redirected to: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM...de_XBMC.3F )

probably not.

apt-cache policy xbmc | pastebinit
lsb_release -a | pastebinit

provide the above output _after_ you did: sudo apt-get install pastebinit

Edit: For noobs we have www.openelec.tv

@Jeff,

Do as fritsch told to tj

Install pastebinit

Code:
sudo apt-get install pastebinit

and provide a Debug Log

Code:
cat $HOME/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log | pastebinit

Otherwise we can't help you. If you are asking for streaming with "mashup" look, what I have told a few posting above
