Hey All,

i just installed XBMC 13.1 on a Zotac Zbox ID91 (dual core, 8GB RAM, Intel HD graphics) with Windows 8.1.

The zbox is connected over a 1GBit/s powerline network. In general, the playback works but it´s not 100% smooth, seems like the framerate is not high enough.
I know, the powerline network is not the best but the interesting thing is, i used PS3 Media server before and if i played videos on my PS3 over the powerline network, it worked flawessly.

I can transfer files with approx 18 MB/sec, that should be a transfer rate of 150Mbit/s. I thought thats actually enough for HD video playback.

I already enabled DXVA2 and also changed the sound to WASAPI, still no luck. The video files all on a synology DS1512+.

What are common tuning tipps? Can it be a problem with the codes? i just installed the k-lite codec pack on the zbox, nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Xbmc doesn't make use of external codecs,
There's a topic somewhere here I can't find it now on my phone about playback issues and a step by step what to do and to check.
Could be in the wiki also not sure.
You could also provide a Debug log (wiki)
