how can I tell if my android device has a neon compatible arm processor?
#1
I want to get the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 phone. I read that one of the criteria for 1080p is that it needs to have a neon compatible arm processor.

Is there a list somewhere of which processors are neon compatible?

Ascent mate 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.6 Ghz, an Adreno 305 GPU, and 2GB of ram. Thanks.

yes. A very basic test: most recent Android devices, like those that came out this year, are most likely neon-compatible.

Qualcomm MSM8928 in Mate 2 supports Neon.
Why would one want to use XBMC/Kodi on such device is beyond me though.

Thanks a lot guys. As for why I want to use it on Kodi, it's not actually for me, it's for my mom. She prefers projecting her phone screen via miracast to the tv as opposed to just using a kodi box. It's cause she only wants to learn one way of doing things and she uses screen projection for other things. That Huawei has an extra long battery life and big screen so should be ok even if that isn't how I would do it.

Thanks.
