Hello this is my first time posting and I am just beginning to use XBMC. Today I found out about the PVR functionality of XBMC and would like to use it when i go away to college this year if possible. I have a Minix Neo X8-H and a Hauppauge HD-PVR, I was hoping that while I am away at college, using this box and my DirecTV satilite box I would be able to watch TV remotely using a PVR client on my Minix Neo X8-H. Please don't flame me for a ridiculous request, maybe I do not fully grasp the PVC concept yet. If this method wont work I would appreciate suggestions on how to watch HD TV from my home while in college. Thanks

The quick answer is SlingBox. My son has been using it for several years. If you aren't familiar with it, just do a Google search. You can pick up a used one on Ebay real cheap.
