Linux High CPU usage while idle on Intel H97 chipset
#1
I recently swapped a failing H87 mother board for a new H97 board. Upon booting into it, everything is fine with the exception of my idle CPU usage when in xbmc. On the H87 all cores idled around 1-2 %. Now I have two cores idling around 30-50 %. Nothing software wise has changed.

Motherboard: MSI H97I AC (bios v5.3)
CPU: Intel i3-4130T
Linux kernel version 3.16.1.
XBMC 13.2.

Besides you are missing some libraries: 19:14:29 T:140710907312128 ERROR: Unable to load libcec.so.2, reason: libcec.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
19:14:29 T:140710907312128 ERROR: Initialise - failed to initialise bus cec

The log does say nothing. Ask the arch people, we have absolutely no idea what they are currently patching in or patching out. Use vanilla xbmc and come back.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
