Win XBMC requires me to click before I can use a remote?
#1
I start up XBMC 13.2 in windows 8.1 pro automatically on boot. I have found out that I have to plug in a mouse and click once before I can use my remote, any idea why this could be?

I am using Flirc.

Its almost like xbmc isnt the active program, I feel like making xbmc be the last app to run on startup would fix this but I am unsure of how to accomplish this.

Thanks!

Try my xbmclauncher. It will keep xbmc in focus to receive commands from remote and keyboard.

I have the same setup as you. XBMC 13.2, Win 8.1, Flirc, etc.

Hardware: Intel G20, SSD.

I put a shortcut of XBMC in the startup folder and it works just fine.

When I had a slower HTPC I had to put a 3 second delay on when XBMC would start for it to be the focus.
