I have turned the settings Icon off on the main menu and need to turn it on again. How do I do that?

Some skins allow setting menu access through the shutdown menu (keyboard s), next step would be to delete the guisettings.xnl and see if a rebuild will bring this back. Finally, rename the current C:\Users\PatK\AppData\Roaming\XBMC directory to something else and then re-run XBMC. it will then regenerate a new config. You can restore your old library by removing the new one and renaming the old one back again.
