usb speaker in openelec

Question
Hi.

Just got myself a raspberry pi and have it up and running with openelec. I got the picture hooked up to a normal LCD panel using a DVI to HDMI cable and was just hoping to get some sound from some small usb speakers that I had laying around.

The speakers is recognized in xbmc as shown in the following image

Image

The default device in the image was one I have added though asound.conf.

The navigation sound works but when I am playing movies i got no sound at all. I have tried different file types: avi, mkv so i don't think its a codec issue.

I have tried different options in the audio settings but still no joy. So if anybody got some ideas I'll appreciate it Smile

aplay -l lists the following:

OpenELEC:~ # aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 1: Speaker [USB Speaker], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Alsa is only supported by dvdplayer (video) and paplayer (audio).
By default omxplayer is used for video, but can be changed either with context menu "play using dvdplayer"
or permanently using advancedsettings.xml.

See <defaultplayer> here
