I would like to have put all cartoons into a playlist that would randomly play the cartoons until the list is exited. Does this exist? How difficult would it be for me to "roll my own"? (I'm a programmer but no python wiz, but I can manage).

1) Create a smart playlist, with a "Genre is Animation" rule and "Random" as the order
2) Select "Play", "Play from here", or "Play in party mode" from the playlist context menu

As is all to frequent, I did a poor job of explaining the situation.

My brother has low-cognition. I would like him to be able to either:

1) select a playlist "cartoons" and have it automatically just start playing random cartoons from it.

or

2) navigate into the playlist "cartoons" then select a cartoon to play and have it "play from here" when he selects it, without going into a context menu.

I want this behavior only for "shorts" which is usually cartoons or Three Stooges. I don't want this behavior for normal movies.

I tried getting him to use PsuedoTV, but that did not work out very well. I estimate him as a very experienced 1-2nd grader who happens to be 67.
