XBMC won't play files from external hard drive connected via USB2?
#1
I have ripped a bunch of my blurays onto an external hard drive formatted via ext3 and am using ext2Volume Manager to have my Windows 7 laptop (and older i3 based laptop, Acer 3820T) to view them. Connected via USB2.0, I can play them fine via say Pot Player (though the audio is very low).

But when I try to play the movies off of XBMC, the system just hangs. If I copy the movie from the external drive to my laptop, the movies play fine (same low audio though so I have to boost the amplification which sucks).

But I'm wondering why XMBC just hangs continuously if I try to play them from the hard drive directly?

Below is a log file, you can see where when I try to play Transformers it hangs?

Any idea why this would be?

Can you play from file mode?
Looks like a permission error?

Pretty sure I tried both ways, but will attempt it again. Why would there be a permission error!?
