How do I upgraded Xbmcbuntu from 13.10 to 14.04
#1
I'm going to guess that the answer to this is easy, but I've been Googling and coming up with nothing. I installed Xbmcbuntu 12 which came with Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy, but since Saucy support has ended, I can't update XBMC past 13.1 RC1, anything newer is for 14.04 Trusty... ...So how can I go about upgrading from 13.10 to 14.04 and what are the risks/concerns/etc involved in this?

After adding or removing any ppa you need to refresh your sources list and finally upgrade xbmc, by typing:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get --only-upgrade install xbmc xbmc-bin

That is how you upgrade XBMC, not the Ubuntu under it...

Xbmcbuntu is based on Ubuntu 12.10 and isn't supported by canonical anymore making upgrading difficult, plus upgrading from 12 to 13 isnt supported. You'll need to reinstall xbmcbuntu.
