First of this is my first windows experience of xbmc/kodi..
i've setup advancedsettings.xml pointing to my mysql db, but when remove old db's for video in appdata, and run the scan again, it rebuilds the sqlite files in appdata\xbmc\userdata\Database...
it doesnt seem to want to connect at all to mysql..
another funny thing, it says alpha 3 on the download page, but in the systeminfo summary page in xbmc it says alpha4... only difference that should make is at most it makes a new db as it got grants to make any db with the basename MyMusic & MyVideos..
it works as the linux htpc created MyMusic48 and MyVideos89 and populated them.. now i just need the windows client to accually try and access it.. both got same info in advancedsettings.xml... so practically it should just work... cause thats how it was on linux, or do i need some kind of mysql connector software for windows?
