Bug TV Show Movies aren't catagorized as Movies
#1
Hi,

TV show movies, like (Family Guy Presents: Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story or The I Love Lucy Movie), aren't catagorized as movies and thus aren't in my movie library. Why is that? Have I done something wrong?

Thanks

It depends on how the scraper websites have them saved. Sometimes TV movies are seen as "specials" for the TV show, and sometimes they're also on movie scraper websites.

Basically, check http://thetvdb.com and https://www.themoviedb.org to see how those movies are listed.

Also see video library (wiki) for info about linking movies to TV shows, so that you can still see the movies along side the TV show itself in the XBMC GUI.

No, they should appear in both areas and they're not. That's the issue.

So you have set this content as movies, not Tv shows and you are using a movie scraper not a tvshow scraper?

What part isn't working?

If you want it to be seen as a "special episode" then name it:

Family Guy - S00E01 - Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.ext

and scan it with all the other episodes.

If you want it to be an independent movie then name it:

Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story (2005).ext

and then link it to the Family Guy TV show.
