Hi All
Just pre-ordered one this weekend, but now reading some comments about it not offering MKV playback - is there any truth in this, or was it an earlier build?

Hi all,
I just ordered one of these from Amazon UK. 2 questions:
1) Is there a particular firmware version that doesn't like XBMC?
2) Should I be looking to sideload XBMC or SPMC? Or is there no choice?
Thabks
OSMC Vero 4K, Intel NUC Celeron 847, ODroid N2+, Raspberry Pi3 LibreELEC. Amazon Fire TV
Vizio Atmos 7.1
LG 65" OLED

I never got an answer as to what SPMC offers over XMBC?

The differences are listed here:
http://spmc.semperpax.com
Basically, it's a v13-based build with additional fixes. Some of those fixes are in v14, and some are still waiting for one reason or another, such as testing, tweaking the code, etc, or they are only a short term fix. There is more caution taken with the official XBMC/Kodi builds because it runs on so many different OSes and hardware, but since SPMC is only on Android then things are pretty stable.
