startup video with the shortcut tool?

Sad
i think it is better.

the shortcut tool checks if a video, like xbmcstart.xxx (dont know what format to use) , in a folder. is it, then play this video first and then starts xbmc. if no video, then starts xbmc direkt.

the autoexec.py is not a good idea. first the xbmc desktop is to see, then (1-2sec) the video is playing. that is not a startup video in my eyes. smile.

good idea??

one cool way to do it would be to make a shortcut.xbe that plays a wmv file (like shortcut.wmv) and then launches the selected xbe. as wmv support is in the xdk it shouldn't be to difficult to make.

but then it would have to be released as source only instead of beeing made with the openxdk, that is the nices thing about the one that we use right now.

but no stopping the release theam from including a compiled version with the compiled version of xbmc i guess  Smile
