Linux Audio play (music play) frequent crashes
#1
Hi
I am on the latest nightly XBMC 14, this was happening on version 13 as well but Eden was perfect (can someone remind me why I updated, things were almost perfect in Eden).
System crashes, sometimes every few minutes whilst playing Flac files.

This really takes the shine out of my beautiful XBMC system.

Nice locking issue. Will have look when I leave that Island here and FernetMenta won't be faster.

Thx for that detailled info. If you have a sample that segfaults repeatedly, please post that. Btw. if you disable viz: same crash or different backtrace?
Edit: that only happens in song start/end track change right?

Thank you for your response.
I have disabled visualisation. Problem occurs mid flight through a music track. Same error each time. There are no special music tracks that it happens on..., it can happen anywhere and it does so very often. Mediainfo below:

That's curious now. Can you please do a memtest - just to be 100% sure nothing else hw related is defect?

I ask cause of: We have absolutely no other report of crashes _during_ playback with some million users. But yeah, it would be nice if you could produce 3 more backtraces so I can see if it always crashes with the same stack.

Thanks much in advance.
