what exactly does pressing O tell me?

When I press O on my keyboard I get a 5/6 lines of real time data. What exactly does each row of data mean? I do notice that the mb/s is way off.

so under Video, Mb/s:7.79 Current video bitrate (reported by player) is this the streaming speed to my cache?

No, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_rate#Video or actually read the whole page from top, or if that is too technical for you see http://help.encoding.com/knowledge-base/...deo-files/

ok, let me ask a different way. Is there anything in the codec overlay display that tells me the streaming speed to my cache?

If I understand the question, then its no. I have no idea what streaming speed to cache is, the only cache info of media is - cache:0 -- B 100% which is Size of cached data and % of cache utilized

Isnt that related to networking? If so what does download speed have to do with codec info? You can easily monitor that outside XBMC I think.

I suppose at some geek level that info would be interesting, though personally I'm not sure it belongs in codec info but things evolve. you could in that case make some feature request ™ and see how that goes.

i read somewhere that the mb/s noted before was the streaming speed, obviously that was misinformation.
