I have been using the Milhouse builds of XBMC/Kodi running on a number of rpi's (openelc) for a LONG time now (rbej releases before that), each using two profiles... one for the adults and one for the scallywags.

I can't get any of the builds from the last few months to work now though - everything sets up fine, however when I change profiles XBMC seems to lose the ability to contact the VU+ box with the following errors;

I've tried fresh builds, upgrading my current Gotham - all with exactly the same issue.

If I kill the xbmc process (or reboot) everything works fine, so this is definitely a software error as opposed to an issue on my network... in fact, if I curl for the URL from the RPI, even as the device is complaining it can't reach the VU+ box, I get a perfectly valid response.

What I can't decide though is whether this is an issue with Kodi itself or with the VU+ PVR.

Anybody got any ideas?

I tried VU+ one Kodi and all was working fine. What i did notice is that importing EPG is really slow and starting TV stream also take longer then before.

Thanks for the response, can you confirm though whether you changed profiles? It all works absolutely fine until the profile is changed after which only a restart of the xbmc process (or the whole device) will resolve
