Solved XBMCbuntu audio in browser issue
#1
Hi,

i have installed xbmcbuntu and having issues with audio.
When playing back movies the sound is coming out without issues.
When browsing with Chrome/Firefox (youtube) which are started from xbmc or in desktop mode there is no audio.
I found some threads here regarding this but couldn't find working solution.
Does someone know how to figure out this.

Audio output is from hdmi, cpu is I3 3140 with Intel hd4600 onboard.
Xbmc version is 13.2 git:0f3db05
When i try volume control it opens a window with "connection to pulseaudio failed..."

Would really appreciate help with this.

I managed to get audio in browser but only from desktop with this:

pcm.!default {
type plug
slave {
pcm "hdmi"
}
}

When i launch browser from within xbmc there is no audio...

Any thoughts?

Solved, "keep audio device alive" option in xbmc must be off.
Now there is audio everywhere Smile
