Hello FernetMenta,

First of all I'd like to thank you for your great vnsiserver plugin and all docs about vdr you've posted here, thanks to you i'm migrating my TV Server from windows to linux!

I've followed this how to - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=189534 and everything went great except by the fact that the majority of HD channels haven't audio.

Looking at channels.conf that w_scan has generated, I've found that the channels without audio doesn't have APID setted like the channels with audio.

Without audio : FOX HD;(null):267000:M256:C:5217:2320=27:0;2321,2322:0;2116:1861,1802:631:2:40:0
With audio: ESPN HD ;(null):129000:M256:C:5217:1056=27:1057=eng@4;1058:0:1802,1861:571:2:35:0

Is there any other tool to generate channels.conf file?

vdr does update channels.conf by itself if UpdateChannels >= 3. If you are in a atsc country make sure to set mode (can't remember the name of the parameter) to atsc.

I'll try that and report back when i'm home.

Thank you!

Brazil. No, dvb-c.

hmm, Brazil is ISDB, right? Different standards use slightly different pat/pmt. I would try different settings for parameter StandardComplience like STANDARD_ANSISCTE

Yes but for terrestrial reception i'm receiving my signal from a local paid dvb-c provider.

I did some tests with streamserver + vlc (windows) on the channels without audio and all audio tracks are there, its seems to be something related to vnsiserver.

Here is the xbmc debug log http://paste.ubuntu.com/8432059/

xbmc log is useless. can you post syslog with vdr logging level at 3
and please post again the lines from channels.conf. if those have no audio ids (apid and dpid) audio can't work.

Syslog: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8432607/

channels.conf - No audio channels:
Code:
FX HD:267000:C34M256:C:5217:2336=27:0:0;2242=leg:1861,1802:634:2:40:0
FOX HD:267000:C34M256:C:5217:2320=27:0:0;2116=leg:1861,1802:631:2:40:0
MTV HD:135000:C34M256:C:5217:1312=27:0:0:1861,1802:621:2:36:0

I've tested these same channels using streamserver+vlc and they worked with all audio tracks, including AC3 ones.

PS. Sorry for the too long syslog, i've forgotten to clean it before send to you.

what exactly do you call "streamserver"? vdr streamdev plugin? do you have a link?

Could you please use vdr and record minute of a channel not working. This way we can easily see if the issue is in vdr itself or vnsi.

Sure if you don't mind to explain how, I'm really a newbie when it comes to vdr.
I don't know if it matters but i'm on semi-headless server with only xbmc+vdr installed.
