One friend faced this problem, I think maybe others also have this problem so share the solution here:
Mostly this problem comes when first time applying your htpc to TV.
Step 1: open the Mini HTPC computer and go to its homepage

Step 2. Click system button and go into system setting

Step 3. Click "system" button

Step 4.Click "Audio Output"

Step 5. Select the right audio output device from the list shows there:

I don't get it. To play sound over HDMI you have to go into the settings and choose sound over HDMI? Well, yeah...

I think it happen to some HTPC not all.

I had some HTPC motherboards that the LVDS output was DFP-0 and the HDMI was DFP-1. I had to change the xorg.conf via SSH to get it to show over HDMI. Agreed - it happens.
