Req iOS8 Notification Center Widget (for quick pause)
#1
With iOS8 it is possible to add widgets to Notification Center. While not all apps use it wisely I think there can be one hell of an awesome feature be for XBMC/Kodi.

My idea is that should be possible to add (custom chosen) buttons in a beautiful iOS style widget to control frequently used things. For me would a 'pause'-button be very very helpful.
You know the situation: a phone call. You have to stop the movie you're watching. Grabbing iPad, unlocking, enter code, start XBMC remote, hit the pause button... Or: swipe down to notification center, press pause.

Other helpful buttons would be: wake on an, play, next, mute, volume, ... let users decide?

Ciao Renzo,
yep this could be a nice widget. Maybe one day someone will help me with some nice piece of code for example to accomplish your feature request, in the meantime we have to wait some of my free time to see if I can do something in this path.

Location based quick access app would work too. Set you home location, and have it hang on the lock screen corner like the Starbucks app.

Now in app store: https://itunes.apple.com/app/xbmc-remote...d923797824

iAmRenzo, the interface displayed is customisable but presently only from a small subset of controls, more controls and more advanced customisation will be added.

Any feedback / comments welcome. Smile

@SM482, comment: why don't you help me to implement this feature into the official XBMC remote?

Thanks for the update. I don't want to sound cheap, but a widget (and only a widget) for 89 cents in another app isn't doing the trick for me, sorry. I want to prevent a list of apps doing just one thing.

Really good question. The official XBMC Remote app is just fine! I don't need another XBMC app, to be honest. I'd rather see the widget popping up in the official app! Wink
