Userdata folder
#1
I've got a Galaxy S5, got XBMC up and running, and went to create my userdata folder so that I can set an advancedsettings.xml... I see two folders - one each on the main device and on the sdcard. Both are empty. There's also an obb folder. Both of those are empty.

I copied my xml file over to all 4 locations, just to se what would happen. I run xbmc, it doesn't seem to read it, then I go back to find that those folders are empty again.

What's the trick?

/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata/
/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/ userdata

Check your debug log (wiki) via the debug log upload add-on. It should tell you the exact path at the very start of the log for your device, something along the lines of:

Code:
NOTICE: special://masterprofile/ is mapped to: SOME_PATH_HERE

Thanks... but there's no Programs > Get More.

Also, debugging says it is saving to /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/ord.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log

but the .xbmc/temp/xbmc.log subfolder does not exist. Searching for xbmc.log on main memory or on card returns no results.

You might need to enable "show hidden files" on your file browser for Android.
