I have just this week got an Intel NUC and, after a lot of pain, finally installed XBMCbuntu.

However, this only includes Gotham 13.0 and I really want at least 13.2.

I read on the wiki page that I need to manually update.

Can anyone please tell me how I do this? I'm familiar with putty (if that helps).I did try with the following commands, from another wiki page, but not a lot seems to happen and I'm still on 13.0

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc

likely you need tu upgrade the Ubuntu version to a newer one.

nah, it must be the current version or it wouldn't include 13.0.

so:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

just as on any other ubuntu/debian based distro
