Hi Nate
Dont think that you can get rid of the XML version and minus sign.
Notice that these are also in the XML files that are loaded in the userdata folder (when the XBMC program is loaded)
I have 3 XML folders-guisettings, profiles and RssFeeds that all have the xml version bit and the minus sign when you open them,
Undecided

You do not need it in the advancedsettings. Nate is right.

Hi Kib
Can see where you are coming from. I actually input them without the XML version and minus sign but these are generated when I do a printout.
What I'll do is a fresh install and post a new debug log (have had a lot of practise at that !)
thanks for you support guys.
