I installed xbmc 13.2 on an Ubuntu x64 server 14.04 with the lubuntu GUI. Everything works great (added videos, fusion, etc) and made sure to exit xbmc. However, there is no /root/.xbmc folder(which I need for advancedsettings) . Used terminal and pcmanfm with Ctrl + H to make sure it really doesn't exist. Why isn't the folder created?

I really hope - you don't run xbmc as root user ...

No, I'm not. Why would it matter though?

cause only root saves its data into /root
Your .xbmc directory is in ~/.xbmc or $HOME/.xbmc

Yeah... I was misinformed I guess, folder was in ~/home/username. Thanks for clearing that up!
