I am in a bit of a pickle. I want to upgrade my XBMCBUNTU but have forgotten my username ... I know the paw (I think) but how to find my username in XBMCBUNTU?

Would appreciate your help (I am a newb...)

try this: add a new media source(e.g. Videos) -> browse -> "Home Folder" -> click OK. This will then show the path to your home dir. The part after /home/ is your username.
