Kodi 14 Alpha4 Network Fail - Arch Linux
#1
Hi,

This may belong in the Development Forum, but as I am not a developer myself, I thought I would start here.

Basically, all Kodi network activity appears to be dead. I believe that I updated Kodi just prior to the network issue, although I have reinstalled so many times trying to fix the problem that I just don't remember. Under system info, Kodi believes that it is connected to the internet and showing current network info as well as a statement that it is connected to the internet. However, attempting to use tmdb or loading xbmc add-on repo's fail.

Here's what I have tried:
I use gufw firewall, which I have toggled off for several attempts.
I do not use an http proxy, but have tried toggling it on and off. It is currently off.
I have tried deleting my userdata folder, which did not help.
I have tried disabling ipv6 by creating an advancedsettings.xml file as suggested here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=172773 . This didn't help and the file is now deleted.
I have forced a rebuild from source using the xbmc-git package in Arch's AUR repo, where my install originates from. (Several times.)
I have deleted the .xbmc folder in its entirety from my home directory. It has since rebuilt to defualt settings.
I don't believe that I can downgrade to the current release due to my previous post here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=196163

Some details:
I'm running Kodi 14.0-ALPHA4 Git 2014-09-23-fa8281b-dirty
Arch Linux x86_64 version 3.16.3-1-ARCH

I can provide a debug log if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
