I went through:

I got the Karaoke settings and I can now play CDG files, Kar files were a bit tricky. I can get MP3+LRC to playback as well.
My Questions:

• Is there a way to get MP3+ASS/SSA to play?
  
• Is there a way to get song numbering for videos? I have some Karaoke files I've made that are AVI and MKV
  
• I can't get a playlist that lets me add video and music files to the same list; can this be done?

Best I can tell, no.

I don't think there is sadly.
