I'm using XBMC Gotham I have structured my TV Shows folders like this. All my english speaking TV episodes like Dexter is getting displayed in XBMC TV Shows tab when using the following naming convention.

But my japanese speaking Naruto Shippuden TV episodes is not getting displayed in XBMC TV Shows tab.
What am I doing wrong? Undecided

Main TV shows Scraper: The TVDB
Naruto Shippuden Scraper: tested { The TVDB - Anime News Network - AniDB.net } none of them worked.
Code:
TV Shows
      | - - - - Dexter
      |                 | - - - - Season 1 (2006)
      |                             | - - Dexter S01E01 - Dexter (Pilot).ext
      |                             | - - Dexter S01E02 - Crocodile.ext
      |                             | - - Dexter S01E03 - Popping Cherry.ext
      | - - - - Naruto Shippuden
      |                 | - - - - Season 14 (2013)
      |                             | - - Naruto Shippuden S14E298.ext
      |                             | - - Naruto Shippuden S14E299.ext
      |                             | - - Naruto Shippuden S14E300.ext

Those episode numbers are dead wrong according to tvdb

http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...3308&lid=7

there is no episode 298, 299 or 300 on season 14 heck even if there was some 28 29 30 is still wrong since season 14 only has 25 episodes

Thumbs Up
Aha now I see, I organized my episodes after this convention:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nar...on_1:_2007

Thanks for the pointer! I will rename everything tomorrow and check.

Ah no, the conventions must be Naming_video_files/TV_shows (wiki) not some XBMC irrelevant conventions Smile and tools like Filebot (wiki) should help you.

It's not an irrelevant convention, just some simple confusion.

Just change everything to season 1.

All under season 1 wont work with tvdb scraper since it has 16 seasons there. Maybe ani.net will. no idea.

[ SOLVED ]

Thanks Ned that allows me to keep my three digit naming convention. Since I consider 40% of this TV series as good episodes and the rest as boring episodes and Fillers. Three digit naming convention makes it easier to filter away boring Filler episodes.

(152 good episodes) / (379 total episodes) = 0,401

Also Ned's method allows me to keep my episodes divided in Chapters instead of Seasons. Since organizing the files in Seasons doesn't make sense for Naruto Shippuden series. It's more logical to divide episodes by Chapters. Some Chapters have episodes overlapping Seasons.

* Scraper: AniDB.net - OK
* TVDB and Anime News Network didn't scrape anything with this naming convention. - Avoid

Code:

[ Feature Request ]
Now my Chapter folder organizing is intact and XBMC Gotham is happy listing all 152 episodes. But presenting this particular series in Chapters instead of Seasons would be something for my X-mas wish list. Nod

Please then Full edit the main post and change this from feature request to solved issue.

The main problem was solved but the "Chapter listing feature request" hasn't been adressed yet.
Shouldn't the ticket remain open until feature request has received some sort of statement first?

Instead of me creating a new ticket containing the same info but different header label?

Chapter listing has been requested other times in the appropriate sub forum you can add your finding to such threads like

e.g. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=163190 or http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=123581 or http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?pid...ost1024751 or the 50 otther similar requests.

Not only that its a very specific chapter request, imo you should either update a existing request or make a new request the the feature request sub forum.

Not only that, but one thread per issue is ideal, two issues per thread gets lost imo and the topic tittle doesn't specify any other issue or request but the solved issue.

This as is, marked as solved issue may help others with similar issue find the resolution.

Technically speaking, you could have grouped your episodes by story arc even if they were in different seasons. XBMC ignores the names of season and sub-folders completely :)
