ERROR: VideoInfoScanner: Exception while scanning.
#1
Recently Kodi has stopped being able to scan my library. I have tried deleting sources, deleting the database, moving the show it stops on out of the folder. Nothing works. I even tried a full reinstall to no avail. I usually update to the newest nightly every few days, so I tried going back to a known working version, and it still happens. My current version is Kodi (14.0-ALPHA4 Git:20140923-ba3e797). Platform: Windows NT x86 32-bit.

I enabled debugging, and here is the log:

http://pastebin.com/ZWNjKGXt

The lines pertinent to the scan are 771-1005. The scan ends with:
ERROR: VideoInfoScanner: Exception while scanning.

but I see no explanation why. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I have nfo files for every show and episode also. I have tried with Local Info only, and without.

EDIT EDIT: My system specs.

Has anyone else experienced this? I just tried the latest nightly from the 7th and the problem still persists.

I can confirm the same issue - I have had this since the very first posted Kodi alpha - today I just re-confirmed the issue -

the scan appears to be working fine, skipping unchanged directories - and then in the middle of the log the unhandled exception appears. The scanning process fails out as if it has completed, and the rest of the content never gets scanned. If I am reading the log correctly, TV shows get scanned first, so this means most of my library never gets touched, including any movies.

This exception does not appear to throw any more detail info, just "Exception occurred" and as I said, the routine fails over as if completing. Does not appear to be an issue in the last stable XBMC builds...
