I just talked to Rockchip and they said they will discuss their new XBMC with H265 playback on XBMC forum and help developers & users with video protocol part.
"If H.265 video playback flow on XBMC use the standard libstagefright calling flow, it will work without any problem."

Maybe Rockchip person can explain a bit how H265 on their new RK3288 devices work, what bit-rates are supported, video file formats that work, help needed from community to make improvements etc.
