Win Optimial Settings for XBMC
#1
Hey

Well i have been using XBMC for quite a while on a desktop and have had no problems.

Recently made a switch to a laptop
SPECS :
Windows 8 i7-4510 @ 2.6GHZ
RAM - 8GB
GPU - GeForce GT 730M , 1920 x 1080 , 60GZ , 2GB

Well i have been experiencing dark corners on my laptop while playing or streaming a 720p video on my laptop

What would be the best settings to avoid this?

PS - i have k-lite installed.

Thank You Smile

XBMC and Kodi have their own codecs internally, external codecs are redundant. Dark corners are a symptom of the LCD/LED backlight, not a lot of software solutions here. Use an external monitor or TV, and I'm sure you will be happy.

It's a brand new laptop

What would be the setting to reduce darkness in videos now?

Try setting or unsetting "Use limited color range" in Settings|System|Video Output.
