The fanart on the thumbnails view is really dark on a new media center I just put together. In some cases, it's so dark that you can barely make out that there is picture there. In other views, like videowall fanart, it's nice and bright. Is there a setting I'm overlooking that will let me adjust how bright the fanart should be? Maybe something to put in the advancedsettings.xml file?

Remove the lines 228, 229 & 230 from here.
You can check here from which views you can remove the dark overlay.
