Hey All,
My wife is deaf, so captions is a pretty big priority for our house. While we can use Windows Media Center fine with captions, I really like XBMC's extended functionality. However, XBMC does not currently have a way (that I know of) to display captions.
Doing some digging, I found that MediaPortal does allow live TV CC via a video/directshow filter, which appears to be a variant of Core CC Parser (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cccp/) to remux the captions into the live TV stream. Their info and filter is here: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIA...AM_streams.
I know that XBMC primarily uses ffmpeg for it's live video and encoding, but I didn't know if there was a way to use this existing filter's work (or look into how it does it) to enable Live TV Captions?
Any and all information is greatly appreciated, or if there's anything I can do to assist, let me know.
