Originally I replied to an earlier thread in the Mythtv section that appears to be outstanding, but perhaps this ATV section is a better spot to ask...
I have just updated my mythtv backend to 0.27 (using Linhes) and updated my ATV2's to Gotham 13.2. I can no longer add my myth backend as a video source as I used to do with 0.21 and XBMC 11.? (Eden). I get an error about being unable to connect to my backend. I can connect using the cmyth PVR, but commercial skipping doesn't seem to be working. My commercials are being flagged in the backend and it appears to be skipping them properly on my main Mythtv frontend.
I was previously very happy with just adding my backend as a Video Source and XBMC happily just skipped the commercials flagged by my Mythbox. I have no need for the additional features of the PVR Addon like live TV, recording settings, etc.
This is very frustrating. Does anyone have a workaround?
