How to access NAS remotely?
#1
I would like to access my NAS at home from my macbook air when I'm not at home?

It's an Buffalo Linkstation LS420 8TB NAS connected to an Airport Extreme at home, the NAS is port forwarded, port 9000.

I can access the NAS in my webbrowser, through x.x.x.x:9000, np at all!

But how do I setup XBMC to browse the NAS in my air?

Add it as an HTTP source, although this seems a security hole, or chasm perhaps.

You will have to use your external address. As long as it is port forwarded to the internal address.

Should I use Web server directory (http) as protocol?
