Android Test builds for HEVC / H.265 support on AMLogic and StageFright/MediaCodec?

WARNING: Backup your settings before using this build, or you might lose them! This is based on nightly builds where old settings are moved to a new location as a part of the XBMC-to-Kodi rename, so the chances of a settings related bug (or losing your settings all together) is slightly higher than normal.

Those should be in the SPMC (wiki) version, which is based on v13. If you want to test this with v14 then I can make another test build.

Hi Ned Scott.
If you can make a v14 i will test it.
I will appreciate.
Another thing, it is possible for you to add to the exit button the option to restart and power off, like in spmcHuh??
Thanks

Will these pull requests for adding HEVC hardware decode to Android not make it into Helix 14.0?

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/5374 works great on Rockchip RK3288!

Wish that they were included now even if you need to clearly highlight that this is experimental.

Huh, for some reason I thought they had made it into v14, but I guess not.

So will these patched be merged to mainline in time for Helix final?

Looks to work fine on Amlogic S805 and S812 too with these.

Not for Helix, but I'm sure we'll have Helix-based test builds for between v14 and v15.

Something changed and github says I need to use the command line to merge one of the two pull requests. I'm not great with git stuff, but I'll try to have something up tonight.

Since you only need the AMLogic additions, and those do go into a Helix-based build easily, I've queued a test build for that. The bot is making it now and it will be available within the hour at http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/android/arm/ as "HEVC-testing".

This is for AMLogic only. It is v14.0 final + PR5493 : http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/andr...bi-v7a.apk

I'll try to get the Rockchip RK3288 PR in tomorrow and do another.
