NFO/Art for m3u stream
#1
Hello

I'm trying to add art/banner for an audio stream. Steps so far:

created a file called wtmd.strm that contains the link http://wtmd-ice.streamguys1.com/wtmd.mp3.m3u

this works to stream the audio.

I've grabbed a jpg from the radio station website and saved it in the same directory (/storage/music) called wtmd.jpg, that doesn't work.

I've created a file called wtmd.nfo that contains

<artist>
<name>WTMD Baltimore Radio</name>
<thumb>/storage/music/wtmd.jpg</thumb>
</artist>

That doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? I'd like to build a whole nfo file for this and other stations, but I'm obviously missing something here. Are stream files treated differently, do I need to name the nfo differently, are nfo files supported for streams at all (wiki says yes)?

Thanks for any help.

Any chance anyone has a music file with an nfo file that points to local or online art that they can share? I should be able to work it out if I can see a working example.

m3u's don't use NFOs?

Rename the file to afilename.strm then name the NFO the same as file.

But! This is only if you plan to scrap the file into xbmc library. Otherwise put the strm into its own folder and name art folder.jpg
