1st post, so normal formalities of hello, and love the app etc...

Looking to use Kodi/XBMC in VW campervan, mostly music. Will use touch and encoder wheel for control - with girder doing some of the system control and menus in the background.

The interface works reasonably well with most skins, BUT I'm not liking the default process for selecting music or adding to the queue.

Current
1) use cursor keys and enter to navigate around music library. Good! - can map rotary encoder and encoder switch using girder.
2) get to artist, album or track - press enter goes down next level
3) have to press "q" or "p" to queue or play

Primarily, the issue is the lack of dialogue box other apps have to continue the cursor/enter key selection of artist/album/track.

Target experience
1) use cursor keys as before along with enter key to navigate music library
2) get to artist, album or track level - press enter (change of behavior here)
3) get "menu pop-up" with (for example):

open (go down next level; artist>album>track)
play
add to queue
play next

So, the target is to have the experience down to use of encoder and it's switch.

Any ideas very, very welcome!
