Invisible folders across platform
#1
Hey guys,

I noticed a really strange behaviour on my XBMC setup tonight and I can't make any sense out of it.

I have my medias hosted on an online server and using this as the sources for xbmc.

One of the TV show is not showing up anymore, and I can't see why.

Online folder via Chrome:

Online folder in XBMC:

As you can see, "Law & Order" is missing.

Here is what I tried/verified:
- checking/unchecking watched/unwatched check box
- rescan library
- delete and rescan library
- Law & Order does not appear in the logs as "won't be added" (doesn't appear at all in fact)
- I created a local folder with the exact same name, xbmc sees it
- verified on several client on different platforms (openelec, windows, all on gotham)

Any clue where this bug could come from?

Thanks,
Seb

Hi,

I already saw this issue without spending much time on it since I change my network location from HTTP to WebDav.
This is caused by the "&" in the filename (or folder name). XBMC is maybe interpreting this "&" as HTML instead of string.

I suggest you to change install WebDAV module on your Apache server. It is really more convenient for massive library. Plus, it allows to read subtitles directly from the WebDAV location, it is really close from FTP in terms of functionality but way more faster (from my experience).

Have a nice day,

Lavren
