XBMC with double audio output
#1
Hi all!

I'll buy soon an external DAC usb for better performance with music.

Now audio signal is send from my HTPC (XBMC 13.2) with an HDMI cable to my Onkyo AV, so in "AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE" and in "PASSTHROUGH OUTPUT DEVICE" i select wasapi driver NVIDIA/ONKYO.

With a new DAC, which is the best setup for XBMC? i think:
"AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE" wasapi driver DAC name (USB/RCA cable)
"PASSTHROUGH OUTPUT DEVICE" wasapi driver NVIDIA/ONKYO (HDMI CABLE)

right?

So if i'll play music or movie with 2ch signal, XBMC will use DAC output, else if i'll play music or movie with DD/DTS or something else, XBMC will use a passthrough signal.

Best regards
Stefano

You can't use the Wasapi option for both audio feeds. Well, you couldn't when I had this set up before. I used to go with Wasapi usb or digital optical and then hdmi pass through.
