Should be interesting. In theory, it should have the right specs for OpenELEC, but who knows if things will go as smoothly as they do on paper.

Priced at $125 (shipping expenditure included), the device comes with a quad-core Bay Trail processor (a 32-bit Z3735F) paired with 1GB of RAM, 16 gigs of storage, a microSD card slot, and support for 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The configuration, in theory should be able to run 32-bit version of Windows 8.1, as well as several Linux distros, Android and other Atom-friendly operating systems.

If you like the idea, but crave for a better configuration, Intel has you covered. The company also has a 64-bit Atom Z3735G-powered dongle coupled with 2GB of RAM.

but the Intel HD Graphics inside has only the regular 4 Execution Units of Baytrail AND is topping out at 646MHz.

Yeah, that's the correct link. Posted the correct link in the wrong thread and the wrong link in the correct thread.

Turns out while it might be OK for my first requirement of running Openelec Kodi, it probably wouldn't be great for SteamOS game streaming whether or not the GPU was up to the task because it's limited to wifi N with no wired Ethernet capability. Apparently the 1080p game streaming only works reliably over wired network infrastructure.

That thing looks even sweeter, because Zotac makes some good stuff. I hope it's cheaper than $200 though.

It is but not too much, one online store was selling it for $194 but it is out of stock now, hope soon it be available in more U.S shops, liliputting is going to release a full video review soon on youtube, with some luck Brad Linder could test xbmc, if not we can always ask to do so. For $110 plus shipping I'll probably give one a try.

But keen to know

1. Where these things draw power from? the aliexpress dealer lists a 5v2A power supply, does it plug into one of the USB adaptors like an android phone?

2. Can anyone nominate a USB2.0-ethernet adaptor that might work with openelec? I am not a wifi kinda guy.

Nice. It appears an XBMC/SteamOS game streamer is a commonly desired dual capability because both use cases are shown in the video.
