ramalingam, your post looks very promising as I have the same model TV Box as you, and have not been able to get 5.1 sound working. A couple of questions:

1. I'm sorry but I do not understand the reference to patching libmedia.so - please could you provide more information, eg where I can download this, and where I can find detailed instructions to effect the patch.
2.What version of BeyondXBMC did you install?

I got DD working on my RK3188 box, but the sound stops very shortly after 3 seconds constantly. The sound stops and returns instantly after 3 seconds.

My config:
De vice: rk3188
Android version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.0.36+ (wed Jun 3 18:42:05 CST 2015)
Version n.: rk3188-eng 4.4.2 KOT49H eng.yangfeihu.20150603.184739 test-keys
Vender software version: RK3188_R-BOX_ANDROID4.4.2-SDK


Sound settings:
Sound output devices: Rockchip-spdif
Or any other spdif option, same problem

Kodi 15.2 git:2015-10-27-17fa8da (compiled Oct 27 2015)
(Google Play Store APP)

Kodi áudio settings: Activate Passthrough

Audio receiver: Sony DD and DTS
Connection: optical cable

Any advice to solve this?
