I have the following setup in my house:
- Windows Home Server with MySQL database for XBMC library sharing (connected by cable);
- Windows 7 desktop with XBMC 13.2 Gotham (connected by cable);
- Windows 8.1 Laptop with XBMC 13.2 Gotham (connected by Wi-Fi);
- Raspberry Pi with Openelec and XBMC 13.2 Gother (connected by Wi-Fi when used in the living room and connected by cable when used in the bedroom).
The computers which are connected by cable to the network have no problem connecting to the MySQL database. However, my laptop and RPi when connected over Wi-Fi have issues connecting to the MySQL database. When reviewing the log-file I see that XBMC can't connect to the database.
I tried to figure out the issue myself by using Heidi-SQL in my laptop to connect to the MySQL database. There is no issue there, I can connect to the MySQL database with the same userdata as on the XBMC-devices. Also, the advancedsettings.xml is the same all over the diffent devices. So I was wondering whether somebody has a solution for this?
