Import watched status didnt work for me..
#1
I have recently moved from Eden to Gotham on my Apple TV2. I'm using a MySQL server and I let it create fresh new databases (rather than allowing the databases to be copied over) and started from scratch.

In order to (hopefully) make this go smoothly I used Ember Media Manager to put the watched status in my movie nfo's. And it worked - all movies that are watched show a playcount of 1.

I then updated my advancedsettings file to show importwatchedstate=true, and then pointed xbmc to my movies using local information rather than scrape.

All my movies are now in xbmc with all my local artwork showing up but all of them are 'unwatched'. Any idea why this hasn't worked? Have other people done this successfully?

Have you included the following in your advancedsettings.xml before importing?

Code:
<videolibrary>
     <importwatchedstate>true</importwatchedstate>
</videolibrary>

Tongue...sorry, have just read half of your post and thought "this must be it!"...

Have you tried to update one of those watched movies manually again, pointing Kodi to your local nfo one more time?

Hmmm - is it possible that you just put this information regarding advancedsettings.xml after I posted...? Wink
